Fortune teller save the dates

Check out our latest bespoke save the dates for Felicity and James. They came to us wanting a unique design in the form of a fortune teller - they really liked the shabby chic look. We created a pack which consisted of the origami fortune teller alongside a personal invite, wrapped in string which was then posted out to all their guests. We hope you like them :-)

Hot off the press

We had a fantastic day out today at the vintage furniture home show in Victoria baths - pictures to follow as Harriet took her camera along. We also picked up the latest copy of Vintage Explorer magazine and we're pleased to say we've had a lovely feature written on us, look out for our advert on the back page too. Click on the image to take you directly to our feature online ;-)

Vote for our Lana Del Rey poster

We're thrilled to have made it into the editors favourite list for the Lana Del Rey poster competition, which, Hayley has illustrated and designed for Creative Allies. We've had some really lovely comments about the poster, so much so that we're thinking we might have a vintage poster design as one of our stationery ranges! There's still time to vote for us, so if you like it please click on the poster, which will take you to a direct link where you can vote. Thank you ;-)

Check out our new (old) vintage dinner set

We absolutely love our fantastic new 1970s dinner set, featuring a stylised pattern of brown, ornate flowers called "Navajo II" by Ridgway courtesy of the British Heart Foundation.

Merry *hiccup* Christmas!

There's no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with a Sloe Gin on the rocks! We've finally bottled up a full 5 litres of Sloe Gin which we have been brewing over the last 3 months. The professional operation involved late night sloeberry culling (Mum's always have massive empty tubs of margarine lying around when you need them) then a careful fermentation process in the 'big' cupboard next to the Henry Hoover. The result is a delight and all the Christmas presents are sorted!

Weddings Vintage features in The Daily Mail, The Express and BBC news as Meryl Streep gatecrashes one of our weddings!

We recently shot a wedding at the Manchester Town Hall for Graham & Freya, it just so happened that on the very same day the Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep was there filming scenes for the forthcoming biopic about Margaret Thatcher, The Iron Lady.

As Freya made her entrance, walking up the stairs to meet Graham inside, other members of the cast and crew - including Jim Broadbent, who plays Thatcher's husband Denis, and Richard E Grant, cast as Michael Heseltine - applauded the bride.

You can read all about their special day by clicking on the link below:

Weddings Vintage is pleased to welcome a Leica X1 35mm to it's workforce

Any photo buff will understand the midnight longing over the prospect of owning something with the allusive red dot. The stamp of the gods. I am now a proud owner and caress it like my first born child (no i don't have any children!) We road tested it in Amsterdam and we're pretty chuffed with the results and if the shots were blurry it had nothing to do with the camera!
